Ragi-Moong dal dosa
Dosa is a popular South Indian thin pancakes like crepe made with fermented rice batter. Normally rice dosas are made with rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds which give taste to dosa. Dosas are very crispy and soft. It is easily digestible.
Dosa is healthy and rich in protein. There are many varieties of dosa recipes like masala dosa, Podi dosa, Plain rice dosa, millets dosa, Green moong dosa, Lobia dosa, Oats dosa, Tomato adai dosa and so on. Here in this recipe ragi dosa is made with whole finger millet/Ragi, rice, dal, and salt. Try out this healthy and crispy dosa.

Ragi/finger millet dosa is soft and crispy dosa made with rice, whole Ragi, Moong dal and urad dal. Here goes the recipe..
Ingredients:
Whole Ragi/Finger millet-1 cup
Rice-1 cup
Moong dal-a fistful
Urad dal-1/2 cup
Rice-1 cup
Moong dal-a fistful
Urad dal-1/2 cup
Method:
- Wash and soak ragi, rice and moong dal for 6-8 hours/overnight.
- In a grinder add soaked Ragi, rice and moong dal. Add water little by little to grind the batter.
- Transfer the batter to a bowl and add required salt and mix well. Ferment the batter for 2-3 hrs.
- Mix the batter with required water to get dosa consistency.
- Heat a dosa pan and add a laddle full of batter and make a thin spiral round.
- Flip to the other side or close with a lid. Add oil in the sides of dosa. Dosa cooks well and crispy.
- Serve with coconut-green chilly chutney, coconut-red chilly chutney, cranberry thokku or sambar.
